Undergraduate Application Process

Our Spring 2021 membership drive is now open!

(1) Complete the UBC Psi Chi Chapter Internal Application Form by Monday, April 12th at 11:59pm.

(2) Only if you are eligible, you will receive an official Psi Chi International Membership Invitation. The invitation will include a link that will direct you to the Psi Chi International Application Form. Please make sure you read the instructions listed in the invitation for a better understanding on the lifetime membership fees and payment process.

Please note: for the question asking “Do you currently have a psychology GPA that is a minimum of 3.0 on a 4-point scale?,” please answer whether your cumulative and specialization GPA are above our required cut-offs.

(3) Once your application is approved, you will be sent a payment link prompting you to pay a one time membership fee of $60 USD for Psi Chi Membership that is valid for a lifetime. In addition to the Psi Chi International application fee, you must also submit a one time fee of $25 CAD to the UBC Chapter of Psi Chi for internal processing. The reason behind the internal fee is to ensure UBC Psi Chi can fund internal awards for Psi Chi members.

UBC Chapter of Psi Chi Internal Fee Payment Process: Interac e-transfer $25 CAD to abhigyan862000@gmail.com.

Please note: Ensure you submit all your fees no later than Sunday, May 9th, at 11:59pm. Failure to submit your fees by May 9th will result in a rejection of your application because we will assume that you have chosen to decline this invitation to be inducted into Psi Chi. If you have concerns regarding fees, contact psichi@psych.ubc.ca

(4) Successful applicants, their families and their significant other will be invited via email to our 9th Annual Induction Ceremony on May 10th 2021. At this event, you will be formally recognized for your achievement and our local chapter awards will be awarded. It is essential that you try to attend this virtual event to celebrate and be recognized for your academic commitment and achievement at UBC.
