HOW DO I APPLY
Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, UBC’s Chapter of Psi Chi will not be reopening the membership application season for Spring of 2023. Please stay updated through our website or social media (@ubcpsichi) for future details.
The following is previous information from the Spring 2022 intake term.
(1) Complete the UBC Psi Chi Chapter Internal Application Form by Monday, March 11th, 2022 at 11:59 pm.
(2) Only if you are deemed eligible, you will receive an official Psi Chi International Membership Invitation. The invitation will include a link that will direct you to the Psi Chi International Application Form. Please make sure you read the instructions listed in the invitation for a better understanding on the lifetime membership fees and payment process.
Please note: for the question asking “Do you currently have a psychology GPA that is a minimum of 3.0 on a 4-point scale?,” please answer whether your cumulative and specialization GPA are above our required cut-offs.
(3) Once your application is approved by Psi Chi International, you will be sent a payment link prompting you to pay a one time membership fee of $60 USD for Psi Chi Membership that is valid for a lifetime.
Please note: Ensure you submit all your fees before the induction ceremony date. Failure to submit your before the induction ceremony will result in a rejection of your application because we will assume that you have chosen to decline this invitation to be inducted into Psi Chi. (4) Successful applicants and their families will be invited via email to our 10th Annual Induction Ceremony (Date TBA). At this event, you will be formally recognized for your achievement and our local chapter awards will be awarded. It is essential that you try to attend this virtual event to celebrate and be recognized for your academic commitment and achievement at UBC.
